Mysterious Pink Lake

Then there is the mysterious bright pink Lake Hiller in Western Australia. It lies about 3 kilometres west of Esperance and is bounded to the East by the South Coast Highway.

The lake is not always pink in colour but the distinctive colour of the water changes as a result of green alga Dunaliella salina, halobacterium Halobacteria cutirubrum, and/or high concentration of brine prawn.

Length: 4 km
Area: 99 ha

Surface elevation: 0 cm
Width: 2 km

Its startling colour remains a mystery and while scientists have proven it's not due to the presence of algae, unlike the other salt lakes down under, they still can't explain why it's pink.

7 Dangerous acts after a meal.

1. Don’t smoke —- Experiments from experts proves that smoking a cigarette after meal is comparable to smoking 10 cigarettes (chances of cancer is higher)

2. Don’t eat fruits immediately — Immediately eating fruits after meals will cause stomach to be bloated with air. Thre fore take fruits 1 -2 hours after meal or 1 hour before meal.

3. Don’t drink tea—— Because tea leaves contain a high content of acid. This substance will cause the protein content in the food we consume to be hundred thus difficult to digest.

4. Don’t loosen your belt———- Loosening the belt after meal will easily cause the intestine to be twisted and blocked.

5. Don’t bathe———- ——- Bathing after meal will cause the increase of blood flow to the hands, legs and body thus the amount of blood around the stomach will therefore decrease, this will weaken the digestive system in our stomach.

6. Don’t walk about———- — People always say that after a meal walk a hundred steps and you will live till 99. In actual fact this is not true. Walking will cause the digestive system to be unable to absorb the nutrition from the food we intake.

7. Don’t sleep immediately—- ——– The food we intake will not be to digest properly. Thus will lead to gastric and infection in our intestine.

TAKE CARE OF YOUR EYES WHILE USING PC

During a recent visit to an optician, one of my friend was told of an exercise for the eyes by a specialist doctor that he termed as 20-20-20. It is apt for all of us, who spend long hours at our desks, looking at the computer screen.

I Thought I'd share it with you.

20-20-20

Step I :-

After every 20 minutes of looking into the computer screen, turn your head and try to look at any object placed at least 20 feet away. This changes the focal length of your eyes, a must-do for the tired eyes.

Step II :-

Try and blink your eyes for 20 times in succession, to moisten them.

Step III :-

Time permitting of course, one should walk 20 paces after every 20 minutes of sitting in one particular posture. Helps blood circulation for the entire body.

Circulate among all if you care. They say that your eyes are mirrors of your soul, so do take care of them, they are priceless.

Johnny Depp holds the record for the largest paycheck for a single movie

Johnny Depp holds the record for the largest paycheck for a single movie. In 2011, the iconic actor earned more than $53 million to act in the fourth Pirates of the Caribbean movie. This number is incredible and more than many people could hope to make intheir life, much less in a single movie.

Previously the highest paycheck for a single movie had gone to Tom Hanks who received $50 million for his part in the Da Vinci Code. Clearly producers though Depp was worth the steep price they paid for his quirky image and unforgettable performances. Considering the success of the movies Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, it was a cost that paid off at the box office. No one could imagine Pirates of the Caribbean without the slightly mad, but endlessly entertaining Jack Sparrow. Depp’s $53 million is extremely impressive, but another big player in film salaries is Will Smith. He may not be able to match Depp’s huge check for a single movie, but annually he is the best-paid actor. With all the movies he is in, Will Smith averages $80 million a year in pay.
